Privacy Notice

Very little. You can read this site without giving us anything at all. There is no account, no login, and no sign-up required to view any page.

We collect a personal detail in only one situation: if you choose to join our mailing list, we receive the email address you enter. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored.

Our mailing list is run by Buttondown, which stores subscriber addresses on our behalf. We use your address only to send occasional updates about this project.

Subscribing is entirely optional. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, so you can leave at any time without contacting us, and we delete addresses that unsubscribe.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which sites link to us. It is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites. We use it to understand whether anyone is reading, not to identify who.

The site is hosted by Vercel. As with any web host, its servers process requests in order to serve pages to you.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not pass it to anyone beyond the services named above, each of which processes data only to provide the service described.

We set no advertising or tracking cookies of our own.

For any question about this notice, or to ask what we hold about you and have it deleted, write to potatoalerts@gmail.com. To leave the mailing list you do not need to write to us — the unsubscribe link in any email is faster.

If we start collecting anything beyond what is described here, we will update this notice before we begin, not afterwards.
